Caledonia Cup organizers are monitoring the air quality health index (AQHI) throughout each day and are in constant communication with match officials regarding playing conditions. The following guidelines are in effect for OUTDOOR MATCHES ONLY at our Summer tournament (note that matches scheduled inside the Edmonton Soccer Dome will proceed as scheduled).

AQHI between 1-6

Matches scheduled while AQHI is between 1-6 will proceed as planned. Teams are expected to show up, and will forfeit the match (rule 4.8) if they do not appear.

Should the AQHI rise to 7 or above either before or during the match, the fixture will be stopped at the pitch by the match official.

AQHI of 7 or Above

Matches scheduled while AQHI is a 7 or higher will be cancelled, with teams being notified by email by Caledonia Cup organizers.

Monitoring

For the most accurate data, we utilize the current observed conditions at the Edmonton East monitoring station, which can be found by clicking here.

Abandoned Match Results

As per our tournament rules, any matches not played will be recorded in a 0:0 draw (rule 4.7). If more than 50% of the match has been played, the score at abandonment will be recorded (rule 4.6).

If the match requires a result, refer to rules 4.6.1 and 4.6.2.
